Save the date: Workshops on real-time information for ferries in Rostock

The Public Transport Association Warnow and the Port of Rostock will hold two international workshops in Rostock (Germany) at 22 January 2015 and 18 February 2015 about the topic:

  • „Real-time information for ferries – current status, demand and future perspectives!"

In the framework of the INTERFACE PLUS project at the transport route Rostock - Gedser - Nykøbing Falster for the first time ever a cross-border ferry was successfully embedded in an intermodal information system in real-time. We are pleased to present this pilot solution to you at the workshops. Moreover we would like to discuss with you and invited experts about possibilities / potentials to extend / transfer the pilot solution to other ferry routes and new target groups.

Aims of the workshops are to:

  • Identify interested partners in the real-time pilot solution
  • Jointly develop further application possibilities of the solution for an extended range of users
  • As a result of the discussion, develop new ideas for future projects.

To use the workshops for the participants as well as the organisers in the most efficient and target oriented way we have separated them into the following core topics and target groups:
