Rostock: Improved service at passenger terminal

New screens provide customers with updates about public transport connections and possible delays

The passenger terminal at Rostock port is now equipped with five information screens. Two each are placed at the terminal exit (in direction to shuttle bus/ ferries; local bus services) and between waiting lounge and bistro. One is located right at the bistro. In addition, there are two outside displays installed close to the terminal- one at terminal bus stop and one at the stop of local bus provider.

Via screens passengers receive real-time information on arrivals and departures of the local buses from and to Rostock inner city / main station and of the terminal bus, operating between terminal and Scandlines ferry. In addition, arrivals and departure information is provided for the ferry Rostock-Gedser. The provision of real-time information for the ferries to/ from Gedser is in process and becomes reality soon.

Today a testing period starts. Its aim is to verify if data exchange functions smoothly and if all necessary information will be displayed at screens- or if further technical adjustments will be necessary.
