The Business Group East (Erhverv Gruppe Øst), which assembles local companies from the eastern part of Bornholm, and the Local Tourist Organisations (Lokalna Organizacja Turystyczna) of Darłowo, Kołobrzeg and Ustka have committed themselves to promote and take active part in business cooperation between Bornholm and Denmark. A respective cooperation agreement was signed in Nexø on 23 Aug 2013. It lays ground for the long term continuation of the B2B liaising activities that have been started within the INTERFACE PLUS project.

The business cooperation will be led by a cross-border Steering Group, which was established with signing the agreement and will meet at least 2 times per year. Its tasks will be to monitor the implementation of a concrete action plan that was adopted along with signing the agreement. The cooperation will concentrate on the priroty areas “Tourism development and promotion, especially actions to improve the ferry connection“ and “Contact and matchmaking activities in order to improve the cross-border business-to-business cooperation” in the start-up phase.
