A dynamic passenger information system for the axis Rostock – Gedser – Nykøbing sets a new benchmark in service quality for ferry foot passengers.

The ferry services between Poland and Bornholm are strengthened and upgraded.

20 ports, local authorities, public transport providers, ferry operators and tourist organisations from Germany, Denmark and Poland join forces for better cross-border passenger transport.

Walk the Baltic - Take the Ferry!

Welcome to the website of the INTERFACE PLUS project

We close service gaps and improve service quality for foot passengers on cross-border ferry routes in the South Baltic area:

  • INTERFACE PLUS develops and implements a dynamic passenger information system for the axis Rostock – Gedser – Nykøbing. It is the first cross-border facility of its kind and integrates five transport operators, two modes (bus / ferry) and two countries (Germany / Denmark). The innovative investment sets a new benchmark in service quality and interoperability for foot passengers on cross-border ferry routes.
  • INTERFACE PLUS upgrades and strengthens the ferry services between Poland and Bornholm (routes Kołobrzeg / Darłowo / Ustka – Nexø). This includes the (re-)construction of the passenger terminals in Ustka, Darłowo and Nexø as well as joint marketing and cross-border liaising activities.

INTERFACE PLUS is led by Public Transport Association Warnow and part-financed from the South Baltic Cross-border Co-operation Programme 2007-2013. Together with its “parent project” INTERFACE, it constitutes the INTERFACE initiative.
