Catamarans again between Gdynia and Baltijsk

08.03.2011

From 5th of March 2011 passengers can again travel from Gdynia to Baltijsk with catamarans. This is the result of a continued fruitful cooperation between the Interface project and the ferry operator Zegluga Gdanska. The re-establishment of the ferry service had already been celebrated at September 2010, after a couple of years when the area was closed by Russia for shipping.

Catamarans began to sail again in March 2011 and will continue their operation until December 2011. At the beginning there is just one cruise on Saturdays but depending on the passenger demand, probably further cruises will be run during the week. Also from this year on there is a possibility of a short trip with bus around Baltijsk area in connection to the ferry crossing. The cost per trip is 50 PLN. To make trips available, interested passengers have to register 3 days in advance.
