INTERFACE meeting in Gdynia on 22nd October 2012

On 22nd October 2012 partners and associates of INTERFACE initiative met in Gdynia

It gave representatives of local and regional authorities, public transport providers, ports, ferry operators and tourist organisations from Sweden, Germany, Russia and Poland a pace to summarise the joint effords in the 2009 – 2012 timeframe for revitalising foot passenger transportation on ferries in the South Baltic area.

The partners have managed to increase the ferry terminals accessibility, implement ‘minimum standards’ of passenger services in the interface areas and enhance information systems for passengers and tourists. One of the most relevant elements was the promotion of INTERFACE within the NORDA Forum, an association of municipalities around the Tricity metropolitan area.

The conference was organized by City of Gdynia, Karlksrona Municipality and Polish – Swedish Chamber of Commerce in Gdansk on STENA LINE ‘Vision’ ferry servicing sister cities Gdynia – Karlskrona maritime connections.
